Thousands of acres of orange groves, seashore and alcove backwaters full of native wildflowers were my vista as I grew up in predevelopment Tustin, Orange County, California. Nurtured by two incredible organic plant people who were busy being a doctor and an artist, I flourished. Sadness grew as the beauty around me disappeared under concrete and homes, limiting my access to nature. I have worked since then to help people become aware of and appreciate their surroundings.
